I'm going to continue observing at Little Tor Elementary in New City NY which is located in Rockland county. I've been observing there for two years and hope to teach there when i graduate.
After becoming familiar with how a school works and what they expect from their teachers it is a great idea to try to get a job at a school you've seen in action. I am hoping to have the same thing happen to me or at least get hired at the school i do my student teaching at. Good Luck.
That's great, I also will be continuing at a school that I've been observing for a while. It's a great school district and I have been become very familiar with the ways the school runs and the teachers and administrators. I would love to be offered a job within the district. Unfortunately, teaching jobs aren't readily available right now but I hope they open up soon. Good Luck!
Its definitely a good feeling to observe in a place that you are comfortable in. I have observed in two different school districts, but I hope to get placed for student teaching at the one I am observing now and possibly get hired there. Its a good thing to let the school get to know you as well as you get to know the school.
