I still havent had the chance to get in the schools yet. I plan on setting that up this week. However this week when babysitting, my liv had a sleepover so I got the chance to see her interact with another child just a year older. One thing that really stood out to me was the issue of sharing. I think since her friend has two siblings shes used to it and waiting her turn where as liv wants things the second she asks for it. I also noticed at bed time her friend read a book and liv took a book and made up her own story based on the pictures which was cute.

  1. Watching children interact with other is great. they always surprise you with the things they do and say. They take everything they observe around them and bring it into their play. My brother surprises me everyday with his witty comments and his understanding of whats going on around him. He is only five years old and talks like he is ten. He is also the youngest of six, so he is constantly interacted with and i believe that helps a lot with his development. Good luck with placement in a classroom and hopefully you will see more adorable children like Liv.

  2. It takes some time to get set up in a school unfortunately but at least you can still observe children in a learning environment by babysitting. It seems that children at a young age always seem to struggle with sharing. They don't really understand why they have to share their things with other kids.

  3. You will have time to finish your hours, just make it your job to get it done and to get on top of the school that you need to start coming in. You will have fun when you do it.

  4. Sharing can be difficult. It depends on the age of the person to really grasp the concept of sharing. Some kids are spoiled so they are used to getting their way.
