I didn't get to see any little kids this weekend because my Olivia was away and I finished my observations, in fact I did 16 hours. However what i did notice and found interesting was on Friday. I was at my friends college softball game and one of her teams was knocked out by the catcher. Two girls literally ran right into each other and the entire team went running over to check on her. I was shocked that the other team simply acted like nothing even happened. I was blown away by the lack of interest from the other team. There was a girl laying on the ground with her team surrounding her and the other team just had little conversations going on in the field.

Compassion and caring really does matter in all that we do! We need to respect it, nurture it, and applaud it when it happens!
ReplyDeleteInteresting observation, Emily.
I AGREE. THINK OTHERS SHOULD CARE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU PLAY A GAME AGAINST EACH OTHER YOU SHOULD HAVE FEELINGS FOR THE OTHER TEAM WETHER YOU KNOW THEM OR NOT.
ReplyDeleteI agree, but I remember when I was splaying soccer my coach always told us if a player on the opposing team got hurt we were to gather with our own team and talk so we wouldn't get out of game mode. I always made sure the other player was ok however if I hurt them.
ReplyDeleteThat's terrible. You'd think that something like that would stir everyone's attention, but I guess some people are only interested in things that involve them.
